Spinal Cord Stimlation

What is Spinal Cord Stimulation?

Spinal cord stimulation is a spinal procedure used to treat chronic pain that has not responded to conservative or surgical treatment. A stimulator is surgically implanted under the skin to send the current to leads that are placed over your spinal cord. The pain is reduced when the electrical current interrupts the pain signal from reaching the brain.
