About Vivek Chadayammuri, MD

Dr. Vivek Chadayammuri is fellowship-trained in adult reconstruction. His care philosophy revolves around a comprehensive approach that prioritizes restoration of patient function and mobility. He believes in exploring both nonoperative and operative treatment options to tailor a personalized care plan for each patient. Dr. Chadayammuri uses minimally invasive techniques to enhance recovery and minimize postoperative pain. He specializes in the direct anterior approach for total hip replacement complemented by a modified incision as appropriate to enhance wound healing. He frequently leverages robotic-assisted technologies to promote surgical accuracy. Dr. Chadayammuri also offers partial (unicompartmental) knee replacement for suitable candidates. Additionally, his experience extends to complex/revision hip and knee replacements and periprosthetic fracture management.

Dr. Chadayammuri earned his medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Aurora, where he received the prestigious Francis O’Kelly Award and graduated among the top of his class. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Connecticut Health Center in Farmington. He then went on to complete his adult reconstruction fellowship in hip and knee at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, N.C. He also holds a certificate in Global Health Studies.

With an avid interest in leveraging cutting-edge technologies and engaging in peer-reviewed research, Dr. Chadayammuri is an active member of various professional organizations, including the American Academy of Hip and Knee Surgeons, American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and American Medical Association. He has 40+ peer-reviewed publications in various journals and textbooks, and he currently serves as a reviewer for the Journal of Arthroplasty.
