About Rajesh Arakal, MD

Rajesh Arakal, MD is a fellowship trained, board certified orthopedic spine surgeon specializing in complicated cases in the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. He received his medical degree from The New Jersey Medical School where he continued on with his orthopaedic surgical training.  Dr. Arakal continued his educational training by completing several courses with world renowned surgeons including Dr. Larry Lenke in Washington, Dr. Anthong Yeung in Arizona and Dr. Jurgen Harms in Germany.

Dr. Arakal has a special interest in spine trauma and has worked to help develop spine trauma protocols in Texas.  Dr. Arakal is actively involved with the Michael Johnson Athletic Performance Center where he serves as their spine consultant.  Dr. Arakal is a partner at Texas Back Institute and has locations in Plano, McKinney and Wichita Falls.
